What's new in Complete OS.
Every update, newest first, in plain words.
Since version 1.2.0 (Oct 22, 2026)
- Nov 3: Pinterest links now work in recipe import. Paste a pin or a pin.it link and Complete OS finds the recipe on the site it came from, or tells you plainly when a pin has no recipe to find. Recipe sites that redirect their links work now too. If you installed Complete OS from Chrome on Android, you can also share a link straight to it. On the web now.
- Nov 3: In a household, you now decide what you share, person by person, including your budget and calendars. The household owner can't change it for you. On the web now.
- Nov 3: Notes now look the way you write them. To-dos are real circles you tap to check, return continues a list, and headings, bold, italics and bulleted or numbered lists show as you type, with the controls right above the keyboard. Tags with a hyphen, like #to-do, now stay whole. On the web now.
- Nov 3: Coming back to the app now shows tasks you changed elsewhere, like one you checked off in the car or added with Siri. On the web now.
- Nov 3: Turn notes into tasks. Add #task to a line, or put #tasks on its own line above a list, and those lines show up as tasks due today. Saving again never adds them twice. On the web now.
- Nov 2: After opening the app from a widget or a sign-in link, tapping a tab no longer jumps you back to Today. On the web now.
- Nov 1: Settings has a new switch to turn off Echo's use of your data, and you can turn it back on any time. On the web now.
- Nov 1: Today's tasks now have the same big check circles as your habits. Tap the circle to finish a task, tap its name for the details. On the web now.
- Next app version (1.2.2): Echo on Apple Watch says it's an AI and asks you to agree on your iPhone first, the same as the phone.
- Next app version (1.2.2): In the car: four panels for your CarPlay screen. Pick what each one shows in Settings and see a preview: your focus, tasks today, one task at a time, schedule, next shift, habits, calendar or notes. Check off a task with one tap, with a few seconds to undo it. Your current shift shows on the CarPlay Dashboard, and you can ask Siri "what's next in Complete OS" or talk to Echo, your AI assistant, hands-free.
- Next app version (1.2.2): Say "Save a note in Complete OS" to Siri and dictate a note. It saves to your notes without any AI, and waits on your phone if you have no signal.
- Oct 29: An insurance card's start date is no longer mistaken for its renewal date, so a plan you just got no longer shows as lapsed. If only a start date is known, the Vault shows an estimated renewal a year later, like "Renews ~Aug 1, 2027 (estimated)". A new "Coverage ends" field is what marks a plan as ended. On the web now.
- Oct 28: Tap a card photo in the Vault to see it full screen and zoom in on the small print: pinch or double-tap on a phone, scroll or the + and − buttons on a computer, then drag to look around. Swipe for the other side. On the web now.
- Oct 28: A new event no longer lands on a holiday or birthday calendar by default. It starts on the calendar you used last, or one of your own. The calendar list in New Event also no longer gets cut off. On the web now.
- Oct 28: The morning briefing on Today now opens with one plain sentence about your day, like "You have 3 tasks today. 1 is overdue. Dinner is Taco Tuesday." Below it, Quick add catches a task (due today), a thought (saved as a note) or an event in one tap. On the web now.
- Oct 27: Planks and other timed exercises are entered in seconds, and Start always starts the countdown (an empty set starts a 60-second hold). A finished workout shows its exact length, like 23:47, instead of a rounded number of minutes. On the web now.
- Oct 27: The website's home page shows Today, Habits and Meals side by side, and links shared to the site now preview with the same three screens. On the web now.
- Oct 27: Tap a task's name on Today to see its details, notes and due date, and to edit, reschedule or delete it; the circle still just checks it off. Phone held sideways: the page now stays put beside the menu instead of sliding when you scroll.
- Oct 27: Phone held sideways: the menu moves to a slim rail on the left, so Today and every page get the full height of the screen. Tasks on Today now have the same big check circles as habits; tap one to mark it done.
- Oct 27: Track walks, runs, hikes and bike rides, not just walks: pick the type before you start, see speed on a ride, and get a summary with distance, time, pace, steps and splits per mile, plus elevation when your phone has it. Log a swim by pool length and laps. Share a finished activity as an image (your start and end stay hidden by default) or with your household, and see every activity by week in Activities. On the web now. Steps and GPS in the iPhone and Android apps come in 1.2.1.
- Oct 27: The website shows how Echo picks your next step: choose a sample day, switch your calendar, tasks, habits, meals and budget on or off, and watch the answer change. On the web now.
- Oct 27: Phone held sideways: nothing hides behind the Dynamic Island or notch anymore, on any screen, including the tab bar and sheets.
- Oct 27: Bigger habit check rings on Today on iPad and on a phone held sideways, the same size as the Habits page, with the same little pop when you tick one.
- Oct 27: Ready for foldables: Galaxy Z Fold, Pixel Fold and similar phones get the tablet layout when open and re-flow when you fold or unfold. Half-folded, nothing sits on the fold: Today splits into one column per side, and in tabletop mode the page stays on the top half.
- Oct 27: Schedule import no longer puts a "?" in a shift code it couldn't read clearly; it flags that day for you to check instead.
- Oct 24: Better on iPad: the side menu now appears on an 11-inch iPad held sideways, the month calendar names your events, the week view shows most of your day, small buttons are easier to tap, and Echo's page suggests things to ask. On the web now. The iPad app also gets Split View and Slide Over in the next update.
- Oct 24: In the evening, the habit card asks about today's habits instead of "morning habits".
- Oct 24: Long streaks keep counting. Streaks past 91 days were stuck at 91; they now go as high as your real run.
- Oct 22: Shared meals and recipes now show who shared them, and a partner's meals no longer count toward your own nutrition totals.
- Oct 21: Choose exactly what you share with your household, and with whom: only you, everyone, or picked people. Works for notes, tasks, recipes, meals, Vault items and events. Shared items are view-only for everyone else.
- Oct 21: Track a walk with GPS: live route map, distance, pace, pause and resume, and pins with a note or photo along the way. Finishing a walk counts toward your day. On the web now. Coming to the iPhone and Android apps in 1.2.1.
- Oct 21: Task details scroll properly on iPhone, keep their line breaks, and links in a description are tappable.
